Do you have a CD with a crack in it that doesn't allow the cds to run properly? Don't worry, because this guide will teach you how to deal with your dilemma. First of all, make sure your cd is not scratched. If it is, then use a CD repair kit or a computer to fix the cracks and scratches. Now open your cd drive and insert the disk into the drive hole with your data side up. Then right click on System32 folder on your desktop and select "Open As Administrator". After doing so just double-click on System32 folder's icon and then right click again on explorer window that opens up, go down to New command prompt window here option under Quick Access menu bar. If you see any warnings, just ignore them and click on the yes button to make it work. Next, you need to type in "cd \\windows\\system32" (without the quotation marks). Now you should be in the system32 folder that is located inside of Program Files (x86) folder. After that type in "regsvr32 actxprxy.dll" (without quotation marks) and hit enter. Then, go back up by hitting the up arrow key on your keyboard until you can see cd .. followed by another up arrow key press. After that, you should be able to see an option called Autoloader or something similar. Just click on it and follow the instructions. Once you've done that, your cd should work like new! One method of getting this is to hold down the left mouse button (or trackpad) and right-click anywhere on the screen. Then select "Open command window here" from the context menu that appears. With the text editor window still open, type in "for /f "inputfile" %1 %* do regsvr32 actxprxy.dll". If you see any errors, repeat step 5 until you don't see anything else. Now your CD should work normally. Another method is through an administrative command prompt. In order to do this, hold down the Shift key while right-clicking on the Windows icon located in the lower left-hand side of your screen. From there, go to "Search for", type in "Command Prompt", and hit Enter. Then run the following command: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll If you see any errors, repeat step 5 until you don't see anything else. Now your CD should work normally.
Note: On Windows Vista and later versions, a shortcut may be necessary to execute these commands from a context menu. Another method is to open an administrative command prompt window. From there, go to "Search for", type in "Command Prompt", and hit Enter. Once you have done that just type in "regsvr32 actxprxy.dll" (without the quotation marks) and hit enter/return key.
